Some stocks moved a lot before the market opened on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Unity jumped 22%. Peloton rose 7.3%. Qualcomm fell about 9%. A stock means a small piece of a company. When a stock jumps, its price goes up. When a stock falls, its price goes down. Early trading means buying and selling before the market opens at 9:30 a.m. in New York. Most of the big moves came after new reports about how the companies did.
What Happened
Here are the big movers in early trading. Unity rose 22%. Peloton rose 7.3%. Qualcomm fell about 9%. Expedia fell nearly 7%. Snap fell 9.8%. Dutch Bros fell 13.7%. Shake Shack moved only a little. Wendy’s moved only a little too.
Why It Happened
Unity did much better than people thought. Its profit was 44 cents for each share. People thought it would be only 3 cents for each share. Its sales were $622 million. People thought sales would be about $566 million. Sales means the money a company brings in. Unity also said sales in the next three months could be $683 million to $691 million. That was more than people thought too.
Peloton also did better than people thought. Its profit was 19 cents for each share. People thought it would be 11 cents. Its sales were $559.2 million. People thought sales would be about $554.6 million. Peloton made $96 million in profit. A year ago, it made $13.9 million. It also cut its debt by nearly $500 million this year. Debt means money a company owes.
Qualcomm fell because its phone chip sales were weak. Sales of chips for phones fell 26% to $5.14 billion. Expedia fell because its sales plan for the next three months looked weak. It said sales could be $3.69 billion to $3.75 billion. People thought the middle number would be a bit higher. Snap fell because its sales were $1.72 billion. People thought sales would be $1.73 billion. Dutch Bros fell because its sales plan for the full year was $2.10 billion. People thought it would be $2.13 billion.
Shake Shack made more profit than people thought. Its profit was 40 cents for each share. People thought it would be 34 cents. But its sales were $423.3 million. That was a little less than people thought. It opened 21 new shops of its own. It also opened 16 shops with partners. Its shares went up a bit at first. Then they went down about 2%.
Wendy’s said no to a big offer. A group led by Trian wanted to buy Wendy’s for about $1.4 billion. Wendy’s board said no. The board said the offer was too low. Its shares moved only a little.

Why It Matters
Good news can push a stock up fast. Bad news can push a stock down fast. One report can change how people feel about a company in one morning. But early trading is only a small part of the day. Prices can change again when the market opens.
What Happens Next
Investors will watch the full day of trading. They will watch if Unity and Peloton keep their gains. They will watch if Qualcomm and Expedia fall more. They will also watch new reports from other companies. Read my post about Wednesday here: https://financewithrohan.com/2026/11/04/stocks-jump-wednesday-election-results/
Final Thoughts
Thursday morning was a busy morning for stocks. Some companies did better than people thought. Their stocks went up. Some companies did worse than people thought. Their stocks went down. One morning does not tell the whole story. It is smart to wait and see what happens next.
